Holy cow this is amazing! It's so cute and has such a wonderful aesthetic to it! The ending was absolutely adorable and my heart melted. This portrayed some really good messages! *SPOILERS* Especially if you mess up with Melony and she teaches you about learning to move on and forgive. I loved it!

**THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS

I love the aesthetic of the game. The artwork was pretty and it was clear what things were supposed to be. The ending was very cute and heartwarming, too, though I could definitely see something like that not being as seamless and easy as the main character wants. Could make for an interesting expansion or sequel.

For the future, I would recommend having varied gameplay. Having so many fetch quests in a row kind of made the story drag on. Some things you could do is vary it with puzzles, battles, friendship moments/story beats, etc. You had some story beats related to fetch quests, but it wouldn't hurt to have some unrelated and reward the player with what to do next with story beats, too. For example instead of having the player deliver an item to a citizen she says no one likes, show that. Have people complaining them. Use conversation to warm up to the quest giver to avoid having to interact with him. There's more that could be done. Instead of 'go find my cat' maybe have it 'help me find my cat' and they could have interactions as they explore together.

Otherwise your story's very wholesome and sweet, your artwork is adorable and I look forward to your future work.

A beautiful little game with a beautiful ending.

(+4)(-1)

I love it and the ending is so cute! It was short but really enjoyable thank you for this

The ending was really sweet :D lovely game!

(+2)(-2)

If you set aside aesthetics (which is cute) and plot of the game (which is sentimental nonsense, at the least I was unable to interpret it in such way that it would make sense), leaving only its mechanics, almost the whole game is one long series of barters (i.e. exchange A for B, then exchange B for C, and so on). I said almost because at the end there is a puzzle.

(+4)(-1)

i rlly loved it. it was one of the best games for me owo

(+4)(-1)

This game is so nice, I've played it at least six times already. The characters are so fun and the art style is lovely, and overall the story was super cute! 10/10, I'm going to recommend this to a friend who's just getting into gaming. (:

Beautiful Game! I somehow messed up the boat puzzle and I didn't save before it. I really wanna know what happens if you beat it but at the same time I don't really wanna go through half the game for what's probably not much. Could anyone tell me what happens if you beat it?

(1 edit)

// SPOILER //

The witch gives you a bag of meat as a a gift. You later give the bag to Teeth and she will be very happy with it :)

What happens if you don't beat it?

If you don't beat it you can still go see Teeth (for me I couldn't find out how to get back to the other side so I just went up) and Artemis befriends her. I'm guessing you get the same dialogue except you miss that interaction where she gets happy

(+2)(-1)

Lovely Game! I loved playing it to kill some time. You almost tricked me into failing the boat puzzle tho!! ;)

(+2)(-1)

Ah man, so homey. I love the warm colours and all of the music / sounds here. The story was fun, and it's nice how it slowly unwinds.

(+2)(-1)

this is just a really cute, fun game. kind of a classic rpg trading quest style, but very well done. i would definitely recommend this game if you like super story based games. it gets a 10/10 from me.

(+2)(-1)

small but a warm story.

(+2)(-1)

Hi friend, I have a question. How did you make the windows menu without transpharency ?

(+4)(-1)

That was so cuteee. Definitely recommend it.

(+2)(-1)

This game is perfect to relax at the end of the day. Relly cute story.

(+3)(-1)

i just came to finish the game, it was so cool and so cute! i know i'm too sensitive but i even cried a little at the end ! good job :)

(+2)(-1)

The graphics looks so clean and cute. I will definitely try the game.

The story in the game was great and so is the art style and many thinking puzzles(I cheated on the boat one). Were you inspired by Undertale/Deltarune cuz it feels like that. There are not many games like this so keep it up.

There more games like this type , even before undertale, but you gotta search for them

This game was such a delight to play <3

My thoughts are kinda scramble but here they are:

Your use of minimal colors was done really well. I loved the scenes you were able to create with them.

The characters were really cool too! Even though it's a short game, they felt very distinct to me.

My faaavorite part was the casual spooky vibes throughout the game and lead up to the ending. You did such a good job! Thank you for making this <3

I'm sorry to hear you encountered an issue like that! Did you open your inventory (press 'X', select items) and confirm you definitely still had the floor cleaner and not a different item? It's possible the dialogue for handing over the floor cleaner could have gotten skipped somehow

Deleted 1 year ago

If you can't give her the floor cleaner then it's some bug because the guy thing comes after that. are you talking about the lady who's pretty bored? Then it's not the lady otherwise it's a bug.

I played the original version in 2016, so this updated version is a pleasant surprise! Thank you for making this game, it's a fun, cute time.

(+2)(-1)

This game surprised me, Im so happy. Thank you, honestly I'm really happy, it was so sweet.

(+2)(-1)

I enjoyed playing, took about an hour without running using the shift key (lol forgot my controls). Very straight forward and funny characters. Hope there ,ight be a chance of a sequel from the end characters POV (dont want to spoil for others).

(+2)(-1)

this game was incredibly fun to play!! A lot of the scripts were really funny, especially the labels in the town hall. Sometimes I got stuck on who to trade the items with, but the log information really helped point me in the right direction. All the character designs were also very cute <3

(+2)(-1)

Oh my gosh I loved this so so much! I can't wait to see more stuff from you!

English:
Red Trees is a wonderful game!
The dialogue between Artemis and the citizens is a lot of fun and sometimes quite impactful, both the description of the key items and the background objects are hilarious, the songs adapt very well to the scenes, and the graphic is very cute!
Thanks so much for this awesome game! :3
